Halling Railway Station has been an important part of the communuity since 1st March 1890. The station has hardly changed since it opened, but is now neglected and misused.

The Halling Parish Council are seeking community suupport to develop a Station Adoption Group who can be authorised to carry out basic maintenance and publicity for the station and take some responsibility (with Network Rail and SouthEastern Railway) for making it a mire attractive gateway to our villages.

The station buildings were transferred to a company "ARCHCO" to find a commercial use for Rent or Lease, but after a Pizza Takeaway was refused by Medway Planning and ideas for a Pizza Restaurant were not followed up, it is hoped that it might be used as a community facility.
