Helen Brown has been appointed as the Parish Council representative to the Medway Valley Line Community Rail Partnership and is looking to see what can be done to connect the local community with its local railway.

Medway Valley Line CRP is one of the three lines in the Kent Community Rail Partnership.building links between communities along the lines. They are working with schools and colleges and groups. Some stations have been adopted by interested groups. They are members of the national Community Rail Network.

Main responsibility rests with Network Rail who own the station and the infrastructure and Southeastern Railways who lease the stations and operate the rail service on behalf of the Department of Transport.

Opportunities may exist to make use of the Halling Station buildings on behalf of the community.
