Plans for the main Parish Council Jubilee event on the Lower Recreation Ground on Saturday 11th June have suffered a setback. It was hoped that the week after the main events would mean a stage and performers for the day would be available, but the council have been let down and instead of putting on a very limited day, plans are for this to take place in August instead, as part of a Fun Day 27th August 2022 (Date to be confirmed).

The council have agreed to help fund a Big Lunch Event, agreed use of the Lower Recreation Ground on Sunday 5th June (from 1pm) - organised by local volunteers are involved in the planning for the day.

There are still plans for a concert at the church on 4th June (limited free tickets) funded by the Parish Council.

The Lighting of the Beacon will start at the Halling Community Centre on Thursday 2nd June and then move to the mound (behind the school in Howlsmere Close) for the 9:45pm lighting as part of the national beacon lighting event.
